What is Battersea Power Station?

A historic power station in London, now redeveloped into a shopping, dining, entertainment, and residential complex.

Is Battersea Power Station free to enter?

Yes, the public areas are free to access. However, some attractions like The Chimney Lift or cinema screenings require tickets.

Is Battersea Power Station weather-friendly?

Yes! The main Power Station building is fully enclosed, making it a great place to visit in all weather conditions. Whether it’s raining, windy, or cold outside, you can shop, dine, and explore comfortably indoors. Or in the British Summer, Power Station Park has deck chairs for you to enjoy the sunshine as well as the cooling jetty!

Is Battersea Power Station safe to visit?

Do you have a Guest Services?

Yes, they are on site to support everyone. Located at both the North Entrance (coming into The Power Station from Power Station Park) and the South Entrance (as you head into The Power Station from Malaysia Square. Or contact them on guestservices@bpsms.co.uk

How do I get to Battersea Power Station?

BOAT – Uber Boat by Thames Clipper. BIKE – via the cycle paths with bike hubs and bike stands across the estate as well as stands for Lime and Santander Cycles. BUS – the number 44, 137 or 211. WALK along the river. TRAIN – Battersea Park Train Station is a short 10 minute walk. TUBE – the northern line comes directly to Battersea Power Station tube station

Is parking available?

Yes! Our car parks are accessible via Pump House Lane, SW11 8BJ and Circus Road West, SW11 8EZ. Both car parks include EV charging bays in both carparks for use seven days a week.

Can I bring my dog?

YES! We are dog friendly throughout Battersea Power Station including most of our shops and some restaurant.

What shops are at Battersea Power Station?

Battersea Power Station features a mix of over 150 shops including high-street fashion brands, lifestyle shops, and specialty stores. You can find a list of all the shops here. The shopping experience blends well with the historic industrial setting, making it a stylish and diverse destination for visitors.

What restaurants and cafes are available?

Whether you’re in the mood for casual bites, international flavours, or fine dining, Battersea Power Station’s culinary scene has something to satisfy every palate.

What is the Chimney LIft and how do I book tickets?

The Chimney Lift at Battersea Power Station is a unique visitor attraction that takes you up one of the iconic chimneys of the historic power station. It’s a glass lift that offers panoramic views over London from the top, giving you a stunning, elevated perspective of the city skyline and the Thames. The experience includes 39 steps to the main lift, please contact the team via support@thechimneylift.zendesk.com to book the accessible lift. This experience combines a bit of history, architecture, and spectacular sightseeing all in one, perfect for visitors wanting something memorable beyond just walking around.

Can I take a guided tour of Battersea Power Station?

Yes! These can be booked here: https://batterseapowerstation.co.uk/official-guided-tours/ Approximately 75 minutes, learning about the Power Station’s role in supplying power to landmarks across London plus access to Control Room A. The tour is wheelchair friendly. Please contact us if you have any additional requirements for the tour.

What is the history of the Power Station?

From the 1930s to 1980s, Battersea Power Station was a working Power Station. At its peak, it was producing a fifth of London’s power, supplying electricity to some of London’s most recognisable landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace.
